With less than two weeks remaining before the election most national public opinion polls place Hillary Clinton squarely in the lead. Her odds of winning are extremely high, although Donald Trump may still win. However, both Clinton and Trump are disliked by a majority of Americans. Over 60 percent of Americans believe we are on the wrong track. Voter turnout may decline due to the high amount of disaffection and dissatisfaction voters demonstrate towards these candidates and this election cycle. In fact, approximately 15 percent of the electorate are undecided on their vote choice. This is a 10 percent increase from the same point in 2012. A sizable section of the electorate still see this as a race between “the lesser of two evils”.
However, in this contentious election it is important to remember the third-party candidates. Candidates which may present a viable alternative to those voters who cannot bring themselves to cast a vote for one of the major party nominees. However, many American voters have never heard of these candidates. Therefore, with little time remaining it is important the American electorate become educated on these alternative options.
Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson, Green Party candidate Jill Stein and independent candidate Evan McMullin have been previously profiled. Finally, there is independent candidate and big cat expert Joe Exotic. Exotic is not in polls or on any ballots. Those interested in reading all of Exotic’s issue positions and policy proposals may go here, but that picture and the video below are all you really need to know.
