State of the Organization: White Sox, 10/14


State of the Organization is a continuing series of daily updates on the happenings of your favorite Chicago sports teams: Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks and Bears. Each team with its own update space.

This space will provide some of the highlights of what has been going on with your favorite Chicago baseball team, the Chicago White Sox, in the past 24 hours. Acquisitions, injuries, performance updates and storylines will be provided during the season, including the team’s competitive status.

Stories of the Day:

  • If the White Sox plan to re-tool for next season under Rick Renteria they will need to add to the current roster, including finding a long-term solution at second base. That solution? Scooter Gennett.
  • Hawk Harrelson says he’s rooting for the Cubs to win the World Series.
  • Many White Sox fans are not.
  • 10 signature White Sox winners from 2016.
  • The Sox can change managers, re-tool their roster, change the name on their stadium, but what they really need is a change in brand image.
