State of the Organization: White Sox, 9/14


State of the Organization is a continuing series of daily updates on the happenings of your favorite Chicago sports teams: Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks and Bears. Each team with its own update space.

This space will provide some of the highlights of what has been going on with your favorite Chicago baseball team, the Chicago White Sox, in the past 24 hours. Stories of the Day:

  • The Sox defeated the Indians, 8-1. The third game of the series starts tonight at 8:10pm ET.

  • Miguel Gonzalez hopes to be back with the Sox next season.
  • As does Tyler Saladino.
  • But if they do stick around, who will be their manager?
  • Monday’s game saw 2016 1st round pick Zach Burdi throw out the first pitch. It won’t be his last in a Sox uniform.
  • Also on Monday, the Sox became only the 20th team in MLB history to score in every inning.
  • Tuesday night’s Bark at the Park event set a Guinness world record for most dogs to ever attend a sporting event with 1,122.
