Explaining how to win an election to Donald Trump is like arguing with a toddler

Donald Trump does not want to pivot to the general election. He doesn’t want to change his campaign tactics. He won’t take money from the traditional big money Republican donors. Trump just wants to be Trump. And he’ll lose.

But trying to explain that to Trump or his organization or his supporters is like arguing with a toddler.

“You have to pivot to the general election.”

“Why?”

“And raise more money.”

“Why?”

“Because you need to attract more voters.”

“Why?”

“You’re going to lose the election. Badly.”

“Why?”

“Every poll shows you losing.”

“Why?”

“People don’t like you.”

“Why?”

That’s why.

Not that he seems overly concerned.
